A new concept in eco-friendly vintage shopping arrives in Florence for the first time. The German e-commerce company VinoKilo is bringing the biggest brands from the 1960s to the 1990s to Manifattura Tabacchi, unique items displayed to the public in an innovative way. In addition to the hundreds of vintage treasures waiting to be discovered, the experience will be enhanced by DJ Sets and the opportunity to taste food and wine specialities at the PescePane, Nura and Il Panino Tondo food stalls.

VinoKilo is a sustainable eco-friendly alternative to fast fashion. The company is based in Mainz, Germany, and gives new life to unused and unloved clothing. The garments, left in textile dumps all over the world, are put into a meticulous recycling process, they are then placed back into the consumption cycle through special pop-up events organised in major European cities and online at vinokilo.com.

Since the beginning of its activities, VinoKilo has recycled around 219 tonnes of clothing, saving 3,262,500 kg in CO2 emissions that would have been required to produce new clothes, equivalent to driving 44,424,375 km, and also saving 543,750 cubic metres in water usage (equivalent to running 3,371,250 baths, or 5,111,250 washing machine cycles).
