(Non Solo) Cinema in Manifattura 2023

From July 26th to August 27th, Cinema in Manifattura returns, every evening at 9.15 p.m, featuring a program of screenings and events curated by the Stensen Foundation, showcasing classic titles, new discoveries, and thematic explorations.
The main innovations of this season include free admission to all screenings, the location in the new spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi on Maker Street, and the opportunity to use headphones for a more immersive experience.

The festival will be inaugurated on July 26th with Frankie hi-nrg mc presenting the preview of the film “Rheingold” by the multi-award-winning director Fatih Akin, a true story about a German rapper of Kurdish origins; a work that blends biography, coming-of-age novel, and thriller. The song lyrics are adapted by Frankie hi-nrg mc himself.

During the opening, starting at 6.00 p.m, the artist MR.G perform live painting on the structure from which the films will be projected. Originally from Abruzzo, MR.G has been living and working in Florence since 2001. His graphic compositions elaborate on metropolitan life using a colorful and intricately detailed style with a vaguely psychedelic flavor.

In case of heavy rain, the communication of any possible cancellation will be announced on Manifattura and/or Stensen’s social channels by 8.00 p.m on the same day.
