For his summer 2019 tour, Erlend Øye has chosen unique and evocative locations such as the Cortile della Ciminiera at Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence, where he will be playing live on 13 July.

Erlend Øye formed part of the singer-songwriter duo Kings of Convenience, much loved throughout Italy. He has lived for the past seven years in Siracusa, Siciliy, where he met his musical companions, La Comitava (Stefano Ortisi, Luigi Orofino and Marco Castello), who have since toured with him throughout the world, from Europe to South America.
The musical project that Erlend Øye and La Comitava are bringing to Manifattura is the result of their experimentation with different acoustic sounds through the use of various instruments, including Erlend’s unmistakeable ukulele.
After buying a house on the island of Ortigia, Erlend’s love for Italy began to show itself in his music. In 2013 he released his first Italian language single La Prima Estate, accompanied by a video shot in Siracusa.

Before starting out on his solo career, Erlend was a member of various groups. He achieved worldwide fame with Kings of Convenience, with a string of successful albums including Quiet Is the New Loud, Riot on an Empty Street, and Declaration of Dependence.
TICKETING
Tickets will only be on sale at Manifattura Tabacchi on the night of the concert, the ticket office will be open from 7 pm to 10 pm.
