Bio

BowLand is a musical project that was founded in Florence by three friends who all grew up in Tehran whilst also taking in musical influences from the West. Lei Low, Pejman Fa and Saeed Aman have carved out their own musical space in which fluctuating atmospheres and unusual sounds meld with ethereal vocals and rhythmic grooves, a dreamworld they somehow arrived at without planning to.

The band’s first album, Floating Trip, was released in 2017, bringing together their artistic influences such as Gorillaz, Portishead, CocoRosie and Nicloas Jaar. The album featured tracks in which the lyrics came about as a direct consequence of the music, and which showed their middle-eastern roots without drifting into forced stereotypes.

In 2018 the group made the final of X-Factor Italia and in December they released the EP Bubble of Dreams, preceded by the single Don’t Stop Me, an original track from BowLand that was produced by Pino “Pinaxa” Pischetola.

The concert from BowLand will take place during the second edition of Many Possible Cities, a series of talks and workshops at Manifattura Tabacchi revolving around ideas on urban regeneration and how multifunctional spaces and fluid communities can create cultural, economic and social capital.

TICKETING

Tickets will only be on sale at Manifattura Tabacchi on the night of the concert, the ticket office will be open from 7pm to 10pm.
