HOW TO PARTICIPATE
All festival events are free admission subject to availability, with the exception of the two evenings hosted by Serena Dandini (22 and 23 October) and the books presentations by Sabina Guzzanti and Michela Murgia with Chiara Tagliaferri (23 October at 4pm and 5pm) that need to be reserved. Reservations open on October 13 on Eventbrite.
Eredità delle Donne is a project by Elastica together with Fondazione CR Firenze, with the artistic direction by Serena Dandini and the partnership of Gucci. The festival benefits from the co-promotion of the Municipality of Florence and the contribution of Poste Italiane.

Manifattura Tabacchi hosts the fourth edition of Eredità delle Donne, the first event that gives a voice only to female speakers in Italy that will debate contemporary themes.
The goal is to bring women’s skills in the various fields of knowledge to the fore and highlight their contribution to the progress of humanity.
Scientists, economists, writers, artists, urban planners, environmentalists, activists, politicians and businesswomen meet and discuss offering their points of view for the benefit of a better society for everyone.
The festival program will be divided into thematic panels: from Stem disciplines to environmental protection; from female occupation to space exploration; from health to the struggles for human rights. The program will talks, roundtables and debates in which competent women, explorers and pioneers in all fields of knowledge, including science, economics, politics, culture and religion will take part.
The historical voices of feminism, authentic icons of emancipation and the fight for equality, will be the protagonists of a debate with the next generation through a dialogue that will be the red thread of the entire edition.
To respond to the many requests for participation, some events have changed location.
The show “Ferite a morte” by Serena Dandini (Friday 22 October, at 20.30) and the presentations of the books by Sabina Guzzanti and Michela Murgia with Chiara Tagliaferri (Saturday 23 October. Respectively at 4 and 5 pm) move to the Niccolini Theater, a stone’s throw from the cathedral of Florence.

A contest to give voice to the new generations of women
The EDD @ereditadelledonne social campaign – with hashtag #scordatelo – inspired from the meeting between generations, is a new call to the women of tomorrow and captures the youth’s approach to gender equality issues and compares them with other generations during the event.
People are invited to post images, stories or videos on Instagram that tell stories related to gender equality. The goal is to start a dialogue online that will then be fleshed out live during the festival.
