A new meeting place for the residents and business that make up the micro-entrepreneurial fabric around Manifattura Tabacchi, where they can get to know each other and begin a new form of socialising.

Orientamento Sinopia is a team of two professionals, Daria Dall’Igna and Véronique Balduzzi, working in the field of guidance counselling and coaching.

As a member of the Manifattura Tabacchi Social District, Daria and Veronique present their activities.

Orientamento Sinopia

Trained both in Italy and abroad, Daria and Véronique accompany young people and adults on a journey to discover their own tastes and talents, identifying possible professional areas of interest, with the aim of helping them find their ideal job and clarify the steps they need to take to achieve this.

As well as working in-person in Florence, they also offer consultancy and courses in Italian, English, and French online.

Why did we use the metaphor of Sinopia? Because just like how the Renaissance artists traced their designs in ‘sinopite’ (i.e. their preparatory drawings) before painting the frescoes onto them, we wanted to help young people and adults design a project for their own lives. This could be choosing a school, university, career, or by helping to make sense of the expat experience.
