A series of talks open to the public, during which the artists and curators visiting Manifattura Tabacchi share their experiences, as such offering up a space for discussion during the course of their workshops with the artists in residence. At the conclusion of each talk, the words will fall away to give space for the eye to communicate, with a visit to the ateliers of the six artists in residence of L’armonia. This visit gives us a voyeuristic glimpse into a world of imagination concentrated into single rooms, which through their daily use by the artists become wunderkammern, rooms of wonder.
A conversation with Sergio Risaliti, Manifattura Tabacchi Art Residencies curator and Director of Museo Novecento of Florence. Introduced by Paolo Parisi, Art Residencies tutor.

Francesca Banchelli
Francesca Banchelli’s work encompasses different disciplines such as painting, performance, video and sculptures, often organising the various media within multifaceted installations. Interested in the human being as a singularity in the presence of the real and non-real, she uses “time” as a search key towards the “encounter” – to reach the complexity of the event.
