INSTALLATION
25 September – 4 October.
In the spirit of the Happening! festival, Muna Mussie and Nicola Ratti have been invited to work together for a happening-performance born from the space in which it takes place: the ateliers of the makers, mòno and Canificio. It is a fascinating space in which furniture and design objects belonging to a recent past are collected and displayed. The two artists were inspired by the story of Aurelia and Neomisia: sisters, saints, persecuted and martyred to and to whose memory the 25th of September is dedicated.
Saints Aurelia and Neomisia
Born in Western Asia
Arrive in Italy buffeted by a tempestuous sea
They find themselves, by mere chance, in an apartment
And are about to spend their first day together,
There is no set routine
Just an inventory connected to exploring possible settings
(Muna Mussie)
In collaboration with B9 makers mòno, Canificio, Duccio Maria Gambi.
